FUNDING

MONTV Academy offers a limited number of free places on the City & Guilds Video Production course, fully subsidized by the  Welsh Assembly Government's Rural Development Plan for Wales 2007-2013 which is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. Applicants for the fully subsidized places must be resident in Monmouthshire and over 18 years old.  The course runs for four weeks and is also available part-time two evenings a week and on selected Saturdays. Directgov and JobCentre Plus offer Adult Learning Grants and Career Development Loans up to £8,000 for adult learners who wish to enrol on a vocational training course such as those run by MONTV Academy. For residents of Wales, the ReAct  scheme offers Individual Discretionary Awards for Vocational Training, through DCELLS.
DCELLS can contribute up to £2,500 towards the costs of vocational training courses linked to growth industries or where a job offer depends on the completion of a particular course or certificate. Factors like course cost, length and its relevance to the local economy will be considered. DCELLS considers each application individually and financial support is entirely at their discretion.
